In March 2004, The Group signed with the Embassy of the Republic of
Mali to China the framework agreement on developing the agricultural resources
of Mali. According to the agreement, MaliGovernment will allocate 0.2 million hectares arable land along the Niger River Basin, and Baobei Investment Group will be responsible for the general contracting and development. This project will be named as the “Sino-Mali Friendship Farm”.
As the largest cotton maker of Africa, Mali enjoys a wealth of abundant land and water resources and hence the title “Barn of Western Africa”. With around 460 million hectare of arable land,Mali has agriculture and husbandry as its backbone industries. In an aim to develop its rich agricultural resources, Mali has issued many favorable policies. Currently, Mali has grown into a major
